SparkBuild installation on ubuntu

Hi I want to use sparkbuild on ubuntu machines. But in the technical specification of the Spark build, it is specified that it will work on RHEL. I want to know if spark build is supported on ubuntu ? if not , what modification is required ? Any patches required ?One more thing, I am getting some issue installing the Sparkbuild on ubuntu.
