The version of Electric Make shipped with SparkBuild 1.0 is pretty similar to the Electric Make v4.5, so you shouldn't have any trouble using SparkBuild with SBSv1. If you encounter any problems, be sure to report it here, and we'll help you out.

SparkBuild and emake should work fine with Symbian - most of the big handset OEMs who do SymbianOS use emake. Are you using SBSv1 or SBSv2?

Thanks, David. We'll definitely make an announcement if an OS X version of SparkBuild becomes available.

Hi David, We're not planning an OS X version at this time (the code is probably somewhat portable but we don't have the toolchain to build on OS X). Out of curiousity, how much of your development is actively performed on Mac? Regards, - Scott

Build Doctor, subbuilds, and free stuff!

The Build Doctor has a guest post by me talking about subbuilds. Check it out: SparkBuild – build optimisation. I've wanted to do something with his site for a long time now, so I'm really excited about the chance to post there. We're also running a giveaway for SparkBuild-branded USB drives with him; details in the article.
