Hi,
If there is an existing electric cloud build setup ; how to migrate to spark build ?
Apart from installation , what are the steps involved.

If you already have an existing Accelerator installation on that machine, you won't gain anything from installing SparkBuild (well... you would get ElectricInsight). The emake executables are identical, so just use the emake you already have without specifying the --emake-cm option.
If you want access to the SparkBuild version of ElectricInsight on a machine that already has ElectricAccelerator, I would recommend installing SparkBuild in a different location and using einsight from there (that way you don't mess around with the emake that is part of ElectricAccelerator).
If your machine doesn't have an existing ElectricAccelerator installation and you don't plan to have it using the cluster and instead use SparkBuild, then the installation of SparkBuild is all you need. That gives you the emake to use locally.

Sven
Thanks Sven.
Well, I have ECA installation ; nothing much to gain..
How SparkBuild version of ElectricInsight different from the default one ? Can it read any annotation file or only the annotation generated by SparkBuild ?

The ElectricInsight in SparkBuild only offers a limited set of analysis capabilities. It will read any annotation, but you won't get the job view or most of the cluster/parallelism oriented reports.
Have you used/seen the full ElectricInsight? Let me know if you want to explore this more.
Thanks,
Sven
